Associate Producer

Reporting:

Reports directly to the Senior Producer of 100 Huntley Street

Purpose:

This position exists to support the Senior Producer and production team with the day to day functions of broadcast and digital media production for 100 Huntley Street and to increase audience growth by contributing to the strategy and execution of Social Media for the brand.

Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Facilitate production and digital media needs.
  2. Update websites
  3. Build descriptive keys
  4. Conduct Research
  5. Help create strategy and contribute to Social Media posts and presence
  6. Create graphic elements
  7. Tag videos

Specific Job Duties:

  1. Responsible for creating and posting website content (ensuring that it is monetized through YouTube where applicable), including editorial copy, images and videos (full program and clips).
  2. Responsible for uploading all ads, monthly offer and Huntley Magazine elements as well as all sliders to 100huntley.com.
  3. Schedule articles under “Featured Today” menu on 100huntley.com.
  4. Update all dropdown menu elements on 100huntley.com regularly to keep content fresh.
  5. Reinforce brand identity and constituent messages through the web experience.
  6. Accountable for the integrity of the content on the site/website quality control.
  7. Make edits on 100huntley.com.
  8. Communicate daily with digital media team and ensure all standards are being met.
  9. Assist with creating strategy for growing audience through engaging content for social outlets when applicable (Instagram, IGTV, Twitter, Facebook).
  10. Edit interview content when applicable.
  11. Create playlists on YouTube account.
  12. Create social cards when applicable.
  13. Review all rundowns and make note of all required elements.
  14. Screen interviews and prepare time cue sheets.
  15. Write creative descriptive keys.
  16. Choose daily closing scriptures.
  17. Source out any needed visuals.
  18. Research guesting information.
  19. Build all necessary keys for daily telecasts including but not limited to: name keys, host keys, website keys, promotional/event keys, hot topic & point keys, descriptive keys, closing scriptures, generic scripture lower thirds, monthly offers etc.
  20. Create full-page graphics for daily telecasts.
  21. Input guesting information and guest photos into Inscriber.
  22. Design and build new lower thirds.
  23. Export any necessary graphic elements to support post-production.
  24. Meet with producer regularly to discuss prioritizing of daily production requirements.
  25. Communicate all updates to the production crew.
  26. Attend and contribute to meetings when applicable.
  27. Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Completion of a recognized television broadcasting course
  2. At least 3 years experience in the broadcasting industry
  3. Editing and Motion Graphics experience
  4. Excellent researcher
